The following rules of conduct should always be observed in the library.
I
Every library customer shall at all times, required to have a valid/official ID cards (i.e. School ID, Employees ID, Agency or Company ID, PRC card, etc.), which shall be presented upon entry to the library.

Always remember to log-in your name and your address at the attendance sheet located at the registration counter upon entry to the library.
III
Under standard circumstances, all bags, briefcase, umbrellas, folders, except valuable personal things and belongings, shall be deposited at the baggage counter before proceeding to any sections of the library.
IV
Loud or unruly behavior, drunkenness and fighting, including those that create a “hostile environment” or any other behavior that hampers the use of the library or cause danger to public safety is prohibited in the library.
V
Acts or actions that involve physical harassment, may it be verbal or physical, based on sex, race, color, religion, national origin, or handicap, is not acceptable in the library
VI
Eating or drinking within the library, except in cases of medical necessity, is prohibited in the library.
VII
Smoking, sleeping nor entertaining and meeting personal visitors is strictly not allowed anywhere in the library.
VIII
Animals shall not be left unattended anywhere in the library and are not allowed on the premises of any library facility, except for those used to aid persons with special needs.
IX
Selling products or services and soliciting donations are not allowed in the library except as authorized and permitted by the Municipal Librarian, Municipal Officials and Heads of Offices, the San Nicolas Employees Association (SNEA) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWDO).

Taking surveys, asking people to sign petitions, distributing leaflets, and other similar activities are not allowed in the library except those conducted by the San Nicolas Municipal Library and the Local Government Unit of San Nicolas.

Parents or guardians are held responsible for the behavior of their children under the age of six (6) while they are in the library. They must always be accompanied and attended by a parent or other responsible guardian whenever and wherever in the library.

Moving Library furniture from where it is placed by the librarian or library staff is not permitted.
XIII
Mutilation, vandalism, defacing and stealing of library materials and resources, properties and facilities, done willfully, maliciously, or wantonly, or carrying away with covert intention, for personal or private use, shall be punished by expulsion from the library privileges.
XIV
Library customers leaving the library should present their things for inspection. The Municipal Librarian or any authorized library personnel reserves the right to inspect any and all library customers’ personal belongings, including, but not limited to bags, purses, briefcases and backpacks.

Library customers using the library’s materials, resources and services shall at all times comply with all the Rules of Conduct of the San Nicolas Municipal Library. Failure to comply with the Library’s established policies may result in removal from the property and, regardless of the customer’s age, suspension of library privileges.
