OVERDUE FINES
1. Materials that are not returned by the due date are charged with overdue fines. A fine of P10.00 is imposed on each material (Books; Non-book; Print; Non-print) each day that it is kept beyond the date it is to be returned. 2. No fines are charged on the days that the library is closed, that is during Saturdays and Sundays and during regular and special holidays. 3. Library borrowers that are minors having juvenile materials borrowed from the library and are not able to returned by the due date , are given a three-day grace periods before it is charge with overdue fines. 4. Borrowers with overdue materials and charged with overdue fines are not allowed to loan out materials from the library. 5. Borrowing privileges of library users with overdue materials or unpaid fines are suspended until all materials are returned and/or fines paid for. FINES AND FEES FOR LOST AND DAMAGED MATERIALS
1. Any material lost or damaged while on loan should be reported at once to the Municipal Library so that overdue charges do not accrue. 2. Borrowers should examine and inspect the library materials they borrowed before leaving the circulation counter. Missing pages or any other damages to materials prior to checking out should also be reported to the library. 3. Library borrowers are responsible for any damage to material in their possession. Damage on returned materials is charged to the most recent borrower. 4. Replacement of materials lost or damaged while on loan should be replaced with item that is identical in title, author, and edition and in acceptable format and condition, or failing this, the material’s cost plus processing charges should be paid. 5. The replacement cost of lost or damaged materials will be based on current average cost of a new library material. |
